The Beauty of Green

There’s no denying that colour can change our thoughts as well as our moods. Considerably one of the most restful colours on the eye, green can create both a calming sensation as well as a dramatic setting.

Muted green shades such as olive or sage, are commonly used in kitchens and communal living spaces, where an atmosphere for unwinding is required. Soft and subtle greens can be used as an alternative to neutral whites and greys.

Using a two-tone palette in a room with plenty of natural light, will inevitably soften the green and make it more subdued. If specifying green cabinets in a kitchen, incorporate light timbers into the space to soften it further. Add contrast with aged brass hardware and fixtures.

Using deeper shades of green can change the atmosphere of a room in an instant. In this bathroom, the deep greens create a moody atmosphere. The glossy deep green tiles, elaborate wallpaper and gold details, evoke a feeling of opulence and sophistication.
